Vet Assist – Michael
Thank you for following up on Michael's dog! The help you gave him and his pet was so much more than you think. He was so nervous coming in and asking for help and you set him right at ease. Michael is homeless and his dog is all he has. We keep an eye out for him but life is not easy for him. We took his dog to the vet you chose (Tender Touch). They were fantastic, they gave him medicine and shampoo and his dog is doing so well. He tells all about your kindness and will be forever grateful for all the help he was given. Your service is so needed in this area! I also thank you for your help to my friend and his beloved pet.

PALS program – Snoodles
"I want to thank you so much for the help from PAWS in paying some of our vet bill. We were so shocked when the injury to our doggie, Snoodles, turned out to be so major with the loss of her eye. Not only was the severity upsetting, we just didn't know how we were going to pay the vet bill from Social Security. We are stretched to the limit helping to raise our 2 grandchildren who spend a lot of time with us and their single dad. Snoodles is doing great although she hates the "halo" collar and does not like being cooped up in the house, she would much rather be out in the yard with the grandkids. Thank you again. Vet Assist – Sally
I want to thank you very much for the assistance I received for my cat Sally. I wouldn't have been able to take her to the vet without it. She had a strange growth on her ear, which turned out to be cancer, much like when we humans get skin cancer. The vet removed it and that took care of it. We lost our older kitty and really couldn't imagine our house without a cat. My teenage kids and I visited Bainbridge PAWS and enjoyed all the kitties there, but then we went to Kingston. I was in the Navy overseas for four years. Now pretty much all my money goes to my college expenses, along with some help from my dad. My dog, Bud, is my best friend -- everybody loves him and he's just a big "people dog" who follows me everywhere. When I found out he had a fungal infection in his lungs, and would need medication for 7 months, I was like "whoa" when I found out the cost. Thank God for PAWS because, honestly, it would be devastating to lose him. I hope people realize that by helping out this fund they're not just helping an animal. It's so much more than that.
